Technology will start soon in PGI
There will be no need for operation to fill the depressed nose, thin lips and facial pits. Rather, the plastic surgeon will make the size of that part normal by inflating it with medicine by injection. This technique is called filler in medical language. Doctors of PGI's Plastic Surgery Department will soon use this technique on patients.
Head of the plastic surgery department of PGI Prof. Rajeev Aggarwal told that there is a pit somewhere in the skin of the face, throat, hands and feet or the skin is pressed. It is operated and transplanted by taking skin from another place. However, with the advent of filler technology, the operation will no longer be required. Rather, by applying the injection inside the pit and pressed skin, that part will swell up to normal size in a few minutes. Thin lips can also be enlarged with this technique. Dr. Aggarwal told that if there is any change in the size of that part after one to one and a half years. So you can get injected again.
Prof. Rajeev Aggarwal told that the cost of injection is around 10 to 15 thousand. Presently these injections are available in America, but many companies are making these injections in the country as well. After coming into the indigenous injection market, its prices will come down.
