For the first time research on fatty liver disease was done in people of 14 states of the country including Uttar Pradesh


 

There is a relation between fatty liver disease and obesity, but it has been seen that there is also a relation between fatty liver disease and diabetes. The problem of fatty liver disease has also been seen in people of normal body weight. The problem of fatty liver disease has been seen in 41.88 percent of diabetics with normal BMI (body mass index). This fact has recently been revealed in research by the Journal of Physicians of India. Research was done on the topic Assessment of prevalence and associated risk factors of NFLD in people living with diabetes in India. This is the first study in which research has been done on the problem of fatty liver disease in more than one lakh 71 thousand people suffering from diabetes from 14 states of the country including Uttar Pradesh. Sanjay Gandhi PGI's Gastroenterologist Prof. Gaurav Pandey says that there is a possibility of all kinds of problems in people suffering from diabetes. This research has revealed that fatty liver disease can be a problem, so there is a need to pay attention to it. The possibility of this problem is especially high in those in whom sugar is not controlled for a long time. According to the research report, the problem of fatty liver disease is more in men with diabetes than in women. Dr. Anil Gangwar, Pet Specialist of King George's Medical University, says that liver test is also necessary in diabetes patients. Fatty liver is detected by ultrasound.
