There are many types of brain tumors, functional MRI is very effective in finding out which type of tumor and to what extent the surgery will be successful. After surgery, patients are given chemotherapy, which reduces the chances of recurrence of the tumor. Through functional MI, it has become possible to know the effect of the drug. Mendata's MRI director and EX HOD   Prof. Rk Gupta  established MRI in the institute. RK Gupta told that while giving a special lecture on the new Approch in  temporal brain tumor on the 38th foundation day of the Radiodiagnosis Department of the Institute,  said that brain tumor can occur in any part of the brain. Surgery is not possible without knowing the exact location of the tumour. The technique used to perform the surgery also largely depends on the location of the tumour. It is also possible to know whether a tumor is cancerous or normal with MRI spectroscopy. If there is a cancerous tumor, then it has become possible to know what kind of cancer it is, on the basis of which the direction of treatment can be decided. Head of the Department Prof. Archana Gupta said that they are going to install MRI of 3 Tesla which will make it possible to catch the disease in the early stages even before the symptoms appear. MRI with this capability gives very clear images. Director Prof. RK Dhiman said that high quality CT scan and advanced technique ultrasound machine are going to be installed, it will greatly benefit the patients. Senior Technical Officer Saroj Verma said that on this day in 1986, the first X-ray was done, after which the facilities in the department increased continuously. Everyday we are doing various radiological tests in more than 700 patients including ultrasound, CT scan, MRI, interventional treatment, digital angiography and many investigations and treatments. The head of the department said that 24-hour surreptitious examination facility is available for emergency.

ब्रेन ट्यूमर कई तरह के होते है किस तरह का ट्यूमर किस हद तक सर्जरी सफल रहेगी यह पता लगाने में फंक्शनल एमआरआई काफी कारगर है। सर्जरी के बाद मरीजों को कीमोथेरेपी दी जाती है जिससे दोबारा आशंका ट्यूमर होने की कम होती है। फंक्शनल एमआई के जरिए दवा का कितना प्रभाव हो रहा है यह जानना संभव हो गया है। संस्थान में एमआरआई को स्थापित करने वाले विभाग के  पूर्व प्रमुख रहे मेंदाता के एमआरआई निदेशक  प्रो. आरके गुप्ता ने बताया कि टेम्पोरल ब्रेन ट्यूमर  में नई विधा पर विशेष व्याख्यान संस्थान के रेडियोडायग्नोसिस विभाग के 38वें स्थापना दिवस पर देते हुए बताया कि ब्रेन ट्यूमर दिमाग के किसी भी हिस्से में हो सकता है। ट्यूमर की सही स्थिति जाने बिना सर्जरी संभव नहीं होती है। किस तकनीक से सर्जरी करनी है, यह भी काफी हद ट्यूमर के स्थिति पर निर्भर करता है। ट्यूमर कैंसर युक्त या सामान्य है, यह भी एमआरआई स्पेक्ट्रोस्कोपी से जानना संभव होता है। कैंसर युक्त ट्यूमर है तो किस तरह का  कैंसर है यह भी जनाना संभव हो गया जिसके आधार पर इलाज की दिशा तय की जा सकती है। विभाग की प्रमुख प्रो. अर्चना गुप्ता ने बताया कि थ्री टेस्ला की एमआरआई स्थापित करने जा रहे है जिससे  लक्षण आने से पहले ही शुरूआती दौर में बीमारी को पकड़ना संभव होगा। इस क्षमता से एमआरआई करने पर काफी स्पष्ट इमेज मिलती है। निदेशक प्रो.आरके धीमन ने बताया कि हाई क्वालिटी का सीटी स्कैन और एडवांस टेक्निक अल्ट्रासाउंड मशीन स्थापित करने जा रहे है इससे मरीजों को काफी फायदा होगा। वरिष्ठ तकनीकी अधिकारी सरोज वर्मा ने बताया कि 1986 में आज ही के  दिन पहला एक्स-रे हुआ था जिसके बाद विभाग में लगातार सुविधाएं बढ़ती गई। रोज हम लोग 700 से अधिक मरीजों में विभिन्न रेडियोलाजिकल परीक्षण कर रहे है जिसमें अल्ट्रासाउंड, सीटी स्कैन, एमआरआई, इंटरवेंशन ट्रीटमेंट, डिजिटल एंजियोग्राफी सहित कई जांच और इलाज कर रहे हैं। विभाग के प्रमुख ने बताया कि इमरजेंसी के लिए 24 घंटे सरी जांच की सुविधा उपलब्ध है।

In Sanjay Gandhi PGI, Hepatitis B and C patients will be examined and treated free of cost. This has brought great relief to the new and old patients coming to the institute daily. These patients will not have to pay any fee for tests and medicines. NHM has made PGI a State Nodal Center. The specialist doctors here will provide treatment at the institute as well as train doctors at the district level.

PGI Director Dr. RK Dhiman said that free treatment facility has been started in the institute with the help of NHM under the National Viral Hepatitis Control Program (NVHCP). The tests and medicines are free for Hepatitis B and C patients. Due to its expensive treatment, many poor patients used to leave the treatment in between. They have got a big relief since free treatment started.

Outreach program will run

Dr. RK Dhiman said that being the state nodal center, PGI has got the responsibility of training doctors of district hospitals, CHCs and PHCs. As part of the outreach programme, PGI experts will train district doctors on how to treat patients suffering from Hepatitis B and C. So that patients can be treated at the nearest district hospital, CHC and PHC. The action plan of the program has been prepared. Training program will start soon.

More than 100 patients coming to OPD

Dr. Amit Goyal, gastroenterologist of PGI and in-charge of the state nodal center, told that six to seven new patients and about 100 old patients come daily in the institute's OPD. Patients from other states including UP come to the institute. About 40 percent of the patients coming to OPD are of Hepatitis B and C. In this, the treatment lasts for three to six months. Although treatment is possible with medicines, but due to the high cost of medicines, people are not able to get complete treatment.

Pediatrician of Sanjay Gandhi PGI Prof. Moinak Sen Sharma, while delivering a lecture on Fatty Liver Disease in children at the CME organized on the foundation day of the Department of Hepatology of the Institute, said that the risk of fatty liver disease increases when the BMI (body mass index) is more than 24 kg per square meter. Research has shown that 58 to 60 percent of children (age group 5 to 18) with this BMI are victims of fatty liver disease. Liver enzymes increase in these. Alleline transaminase (ALT) is elevated especially in children with fatty liver disease. Due to obesity, the risk of heart disease increases due to the increase in the amount of cholesterol in them. The risk of early diabetes increases. Pro. Moinak told that this disease is his own gift. Need to watch what the kids are feeding. Fast food is the biggest enemy. After the Corona period, the percentage of obesity in children has increased 1.5 times. Medanta's gastroenterologist Dr. Abhay Verma said that alcohol, hepatitis C and B virus infection are the biggest enemies of the liver.

Gastroenterologist Prof. Sameer Mohindra told that immune hepatitis is such a disease, in which chronic inflammation starts in the liver due to some unknown reasons. If there is a problem of autoimmune hepatitis, investigation is necessary for the diagnosis of dead autoimmune hepatitis. If there is an increase in liver enzymes, it is detected by a blood test. Apart from this, anti-smooth muscle antibodies, antinuclear factor antibodies and anti-LKM antibodies are checked by other blood tests. The level of immunoglobulin G in the blood may be increased. Liver biopsy may also be done for confirmation.

Fatty liver problem occurs when excess fat accumulates in the liver cells. It is normal to have a small amount of fat in the liver, but when this fat becomes more than 10 percent of the weight of the liver, then the situation starts getting worse. संजय गांधी पीजीआई के क्लिनिकल इम्यूनोलॉजी विभाग का स्थापना दिवस एवं एलुमनाई मीट का आयोजन किया गया।  इस मौके पर विभाग के संस्थापक एवं संस्थान की नीव रही प्रो सीता नायक ने बताया कि कैसे यह विभाग बना।  उस समय यह देश का पहला विभाग था जो स्थापित हुआ था देश का पहला डीएम स्टूडेंट भी यही विभाग से निकला लेकिन विभाग को मेडिकल काउंसिल आफ इंडिया से अनुमति नहीं मिला था।  इस अनुमति को पाने के लिए काफी संघर्ष करना पड़ा।  प्रो आर  एन मिश्रा ने बताया कि मरीज देखने के साथ मरीजों में बीमारी पता करने के लिए उस समय सब कुछ मैनुअल करना पड़ता था जांच को स्थापित करने के लिए काफी मेहनत करनी पड़ती थी आज ऑटोमेशन का जमाना आ गया सारी किट बनी बनाई आती है।  पहले सब कुछ लैब में तैयार करना पड़ता था।  डॉ बनवारी लाल शर्मा ,डॉ सज्जन, डॉ पाराशर घोष, डॉक्टर वैदेही, डॉक्टर सिनॉय, डॉअरुण गुप्ता, डॉ संदीप उपाध्याय, विभाग में बताएं पुराने दिनों को याद करते हुए कहा कि यहां का डीएम पाठ्यक्रम बहुत ही सामायिक था। हर तरह की नॉलेज दी जाती थी जिसका फायदा हमें आज मिल रहा है। । इस समय अमेरिका में रह रही डॉक्टर वैदेही 25 साल बाद संस्थान आई तो वह जिस हॉस्टल में रहती थी उसे देखने नहीं और हॉस्टल में पहुंचते ही कहा अरे इसी कमरे में तो हम रहते थे कितना सब कुछ बदल गया है लेकिन हॉस्टल की दीवार का रंग नहीं बदला वहां पर सेल्फी ली। डॉ वरुण धीर मैं अपने डीएम पाठ्यक्रम के दौरान तमाम यादों को ताजा किया विभाग की प्रमुख प्रो अमिता अग्रवाल ने बताया कि हम भी यहां के छात्र हैं यही से डीएम किया और यहीं पर फैकल्टी बन गई । आज भी यहां के सीनियर का अनुभव मेरे काम आ रहा है।  वरिष्ठ तकनीकी अधिकारी रहे  ए के गुप्ता राजेश्वर दयाल ने बताया कि कैसे विभाग का  प्रशासनिक भवन में एक कमरे में शुरू हुआ था और आज विभाग में 4 बड़ी-बड़ी लैब है

एक बार फिर से पुराने साथियों को अपने पुराने दिनों को याद कर उनकी बाते कर अतीत को दोहराने का जो विशेष पल मिला वो अविस्मरणीय रहा, देश भर से आए डॉक्टर्स ने साझा किए संवाद लगभग सभी ने पीजीआई से ही डीएम की डिग्री हासिल की और अलग अलग प्रांतों में कार्यरत हैं तो किसी का खुद का अस्पताल चल रहा विभाग प्रमुख डॉक्टर अमिता अग्रवाल के अथक प्रयास से ऑर्गनाइज एल्यूमिनाई मीट में सभी साथियों ने खूब मस्ती की, डॉक्टर सीता नायक (से. नि.) हेड ऑफ डिपार्टमेंट ने अपनी यादों से जुड़े कुछ अनछुए पहलुओं पर लोगो का ध्यान आकर्षित किया जिसे सुनकर सभी स्तब्ध रह गए, बोल्ड एडमिनिस्ट्रेटिव के तौर पर मशहूर डॉक्टर नायक का भय संस्थान से लेकर शासन तक के आला अधिकारियों को भी था, उनकी बुलंद आवाज और बेबाकी आज भी वैसी ही है जैसी कि कभी हुआ करती थी, डॉक्टर आर. एन. मिश्र सर की सज्जनता और मिठास का तो कोई जवाब नहीं, वही अंदाज, बातों में चुटकी लेने की कला में महारथ, संजय द्विवेदी जी ने बताया कि किस प्रकार डॉक्टर राम नाथ ने उन्हें हाथ पकड़ कर लैब के कार्यों में दक्ष किया उन्होंने भरी महफिल में बताया कि कैसे एक ग्राम सॉल्यूशन को सौ ग्राम का घोल बनाया सभी ने लगाए ठहाके डॉक्टर मिश्रा को कभी ऊंची आवाज और गुस्सा करते कभी नहीं देखा और किसी से सुना, उन्होंने बताया कि डॉक्टर सीता नायक ने कैसे उनको सेफ किया जब बात प्रशासनिक कार्यवाही की आई ऐसी बहुतेरी बातों को सभी ने अपने अपने अंदाज में बयां किया, जिसे सुन माहौल भावविभोर हो उठा धूप में खेल का भी लुत्फ उठाया गया, डॉक्टर मिश्रा डॉक्टर कोशी सहित सभी ने मैदान पर गेंद और बल्ले के साथ खुब मस्ती भरे पल बटोरे अंत में गेस्ट हाउस में आयोजित लंच के साथ मीट का हुआ समापन, राजेश्वर दयाल आर के गुप्ता अरविंद श्रीवास्तव राजेश यादव रिजवान अजीत सुरेश गोविंद सुशील सहित तमाम कर्मचारीगण रहे उपस्थित ...........

 मोटापे से ग्रस्त 50 फीसदी से अधिक बच्चों में फैटी लिवर की आशंका

अनियमित खानपान, कम शारीरिक गतिविधि के

 कारण के बच्चे भी फैटी लिवर डिजीज के शिकार हो

 रहे है। हर दसवां बच्चा मोटापे का शिकार है।   संजय

 गांधी पीजीआई के बाल पेट रोग विशेषज्ञ प्रो. मोइनक

 सेन शर्मा ने संस्थान के हीपैटोलॉजी विभाग के

 स्थापना दिवस पर आयोजित सीएमई में बच्चों में फैटी

 लिवर डिजीज पर व्याख्यान देते हुए बताया कि

 बीएमआई( बॉडी मास इंडेक्स) 24 किलोग्राम

प्रति वर्ग मीटर से अधिक होने पर फैटी

 लिवर डिजीज की आशंका बढ़ जाती है

 । शोधों में देखा गया है कि इस

 बीएमआई वाले 58 से 60 फीसदी  बच्चे

 (5 से 18 आयु वर्ग ) फैटी लिवर डिजीज

 के शिकार है। इनमें लिवर एंजाइम बढ़

 जाता है। खास तौर पर फैटी लिवर

 डिजीज के शिकार बच्चों में एलीन

 ट्रांसमिनेज(एएलटी) बढ़ा होता है।

 मोटापे की वजह से इनमें कोलेस्ट्रॉल

 बढ़ने के कारण  की मात्रा बढ़ने के

 कारण दिल की बीमारी की आशंका बढ़

 जाती है।  जल्दी डायबिटीज की

आशंका बढ़ जाती है। प्रो. मोइनक ने

 बताया कि यह बीमारी खुद की देन है।

 बच्चों को क्या खिला रहे है यह देखने की

 जरूरत है। फास्ट फूड सबसे बडा

 दुश्मन है। कोरोना काल के बाद बच्चों

 में मोटापा का प्रतिशत 1.5 गुना बढ़ा है ।

, हेपेटाइटिस सी एवं बी वायरस का

 संक्रमण  लिवर का सबसे बड़ा दुश्मन है। 

  

इम्यून सिस्सटम लिवर पर करने लगता है हमला

पेट रोग विशेषज्ञ प्रो. समीर मोहिंद्रा  ने

 बताया कि  इम्यून हेपेटाइटिस  ऐसी

 बीमारी है, जिसमें किसी अज्ञात कारणों

 से लिवर में क्रोनिक सूजन होने लगती

 है। ऑटोइम्यून हेपेटाइटिस की समस्या

 होने पर मरी ऑटोइम्यून हैपेटाइटिस के

 निदान के लिए जांच जरूरी है। अगर

 लीवर एंजाइम में बढ़ोतरी होती है, तो

 इसका पता रक्त जांच से चल जाता है।

 इसके अलावा अन्य रक्त परीक्षणों के

 द्वारा एंटी-स्मूद मसल एंटीबॉडी

, एंटीन्यूक्लियर फैक्टर एंटीबॉडी और

 एंटी एलकेएम एंटीबॉडी की जांच की

 जाती है। रक्त में इम्युनोग्लोब्युलिन जी

 का स्तर बढ़ सकता है।  पुष्टि के लिए

 लिवर बायोप्सी भी की जा सकती है।

  

क्या है फैटी लिवर डिजीज

लिवर की कोशिकाओं में जब ज्यादा

 मात्रा में फैट इकट्ठा हो जाता है तब फैटी

 लिवर की प्रॉब्लम होती है। लिवर में

 थोड़ी-बहुत मात्रा में फैट का होना नॉर्मल

है लेकिन जब ये फैट लीवर के वजन से

 10 प्रतिशत ज्यादा हो जाए तो स्थिति

खराब होने लगती है। इससे लिवर के

 काम करने की क्षमता प्रभावित होती है।

 

कैसे पाएं निजात

वर्तमान में, फैटी लिवर के इलाज के लिए

कोई दवा नहीं है। प्रारंभिक फैटी लिवर

 आमतौर पर आहार परिवर्तन, वजन

घटाने, व्यायाम से  निजात पाया जा

 सकता है। अधिक फाइबर युक्त

आहार, कम वसा और कार्बोहाइड्रेट

युक्त आहार शामिल कराएं।   

फाइब्रोस्कैन या अल्ट्रासाउंड से लगता है पता

फैटी लिवर का  आमतौर पर रुटीन

 चेकअप के दौरान पता चलता है।

 सकता है।  लिवर का रक्त परीक्षण

 दिनांक 25 फरवरी 2023 को संयुक्त स्वास्थ्य आउटसोर्सिंग संविदा कर्मचारी संघ केजीएमयू शाखा लखनऊ का गठन हुआ। जिसमें रितेश मल्ल अध्यक्ष तथा सुजीत कुमार महामंत्री बनाए गए इसके साथ ही अतुल कुमार , बसंत कुमार , विकास कश्यप को उपाध्यक्ष , एस एन पाठक को संगठन महामंत्री , सतीश चौहान वरिष्ठ महामंत्री, अनुराग सिंह सह संगठन महामंत्री, संजय वर्मा मंत्री धर्मेंद्र कुमार कोषाध्यक्ष सुमित कुमार गुप्ता और पप्पू यादव को प्रचार मंत्री, प्रदीप और सुभाष मीडिया प्रभारी तथा सचिन को केजीएमयू का प्रभारी बनाया गया।

बैठक में केजीएमयू के सैकड़ों कर्मचारी मौजूद रहे तथा सभी ने एकजुट होकर यह आवाज उठाया कि आउटसोर्सिंग कर्मचारियों का समान कार्य समान वेतन तथा समायोजन की लड़ाई अब इसी संगठन के बैनर तले लड़ी जाएगी।

महामंत्री सुजीत कुमार ने कहा कि जो कर्मचारी पिछले 10 वर्ष से कार्यरत हैं उनको भी किसी प्रकार का वेतन बढ़ोतरी प्रतिवर्ष नहीं दिया जा रहा है । आज के इस महंगाई के दौर में दस हजार में किसी का जीवन यापन नहीं होता है। संस्थान प्रशासन को शासी निकाय द्वारा संस्थान का न्यूनतम वेतन कम से कम 18 हजार चतुर्थ श्रेणी को  करना चाहिए जिससे चतुर्थ श्रेणी को तथा नर्सिंग एवं पैरामेडिकल कर्मचारियों को 25 हजार प्रति माह वेतन भुगतान किया जाना चाहिए। हम सभी लोग यह लड़ाई लड़ेंगे तथा शासन प्रशासन यह मानने के लिए मजबूर कर देंगे। 

प्रदेश महामंत्री सच्चिता नन्द मिश्रा ने सभी को बधाई दी और कहा की के जी एम यू प्रदेश का सबसे बड़ा संस्थान है यहां के कर्मचारियों से समान कार्य समान वेतन तथा समायोजन महाआंदोलन में बड़ा सहयोग मिलेगा

 Jitendra Yadav was elected president for the third consecutive time and Ramkumar Sinha for the second time in the biennial election of Lucknow's Sanjay Gandhi PGI Employees Federation. 855 people of different cadres voted in the election. Jitendra Yadav won by 17 votes. Neel Mani Tiwari got 371 votes while Madan Murari got 48 votes. General Secretary Ram Kumar Sinha won by 167 votes. Against him, the candidate Dharmesh Kumar got 344 votes. The election result was declared late last night. Apart from these, senior vice president Ram Raj Singh, Sunita Singh were elected. Suresh Kumar Rawat and Ajay Kumar were elected on the post of Vice President. Senior minister Manju Lata Yadav was elected unopposed. Joint ministers Kishan Singh and Bhupendra Vikram were elected. Treasurer Virendra Yadav was elected. Organization Minister Chandra Prabha and Rajesh Gupta, Office Minister Vijay Bahadur, Publicity Minister Ramesh Gautam and Mohd. Abid Rizvi and Shri Krishan Pal Singh, Krishan Pal, Ram Sagar, Afsar Veg, Ajay Kumar, Anita Negi were elected unopposed as executive members. Ram Kumar was elected General Secretary earlier also. elected officials said that he will fight for the welfare of patients and employees at every level. If there is any kind of negligence in patient service at any level then we will get bad name which will not be in the interest of the institution. Administrators have been coming and going but we are in service today. Have to take service tomorrow after retirement. All the people who are working in the institute will be in the interest of the institute. Outsourced employees have an equal contribution to the service. There are many issues of permanent employees, in which patient care allowance, restoration of the posts which have been reduced under standardization, uniform allowance, outstanding payment to outsourced employees will be the issue. General Secretary of the employees organization Savitri Singh said that we will cooperate with the federation in every legitimate demand. Outgoing General Secretary Dharmesh Kumar, President of Meditic Association DK Singh, General Secretary Saroj Verma, Staff Leader Amar Singh, RK Bajpai, Staff Leader CL Verma, KK Tiwari, Satish Mishra and others have congratulated the new office bearers.

Nursing Staff Association is going to be held on 3rd March. The nomination process for the elections to be held once in two years has been completed. Two teams have been formed. A team target is Seema Shukla & Anita 2023 and Suzanne & Team. To challenge the current president Seema Shukla for the post of president is Lata Sachan. Vivek Sharma is in front of Anita Verma for the post of General Secretary. Vice President Sunita Nayak, in front of Anita is Sujan Singh, Rajkumar. Saroj Tiwari for the post of Joint Minister, Asmita Peter in front of Sandeep Sachan, Manoj Verma, Bhanu Pratap Singh in front of Publicity Minister Vidyavati. नर्सिंग स्टाफ एसोसिएशन तीन मार्च को होना जा रहा है। दो साल में एक बार होने वाले चुनाव के लिए नामांकन प्रक्रिया पूरी हो गयी है। दो टीम बन गयी है। एक टीम लक्ष्य सीमा शुक्ला एंड अनीता 2023 और सुजान एंड टीम है।  अध्यक्ष पद के लिए नि वर्तमान अध्यक्ष सीमा शुक्ला को चुनौती देने के लिए लता सचान है। महामंत्री पद के अनीता वर्मा के सामने विवेक शर्मा है। उपाध्यक्ष सुनीता नायक , अनिता के सामने सुजान सिंह , राजकुमार है। संयुक्त मंत्री पद के लिए सरोज तिवारी , संदीप सचान के सामने अस्मिता पीटर, मनोज वर्मा, प्रचार मंत्री विद्यावती के सामने भानु प्रताप सिंह। इनके अलावा रेखा पाण्डेय , अभिषेक गुप्ता, ज्योति मैसी, सुनील रूपजी, दूसरी टीम से अनुलिमा सिंह, मंजू कमल, मुकेश शर्मा सहित अन्य ने पदों को के लिए दावेदारी पेश की है। संस्थान में 1400 से अधिक नर्सेज है जो इस चुनाव में भागीदारी करेंगी।

For the first time in Uttar Pradesh, the Department of Endocrine Surgery of Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences has performed such a surgery in which a 10 cm thyroid tumor has been robotically removed.

A 39-year-old married woman resident of Barabanki had a thyroid lump in her neck, which was continuously increasing. When she reached Barabanki hospital with her husband for treatment, after examination, the doctors told her that the tumor had grown a lot and due to its complications, its surgery is not possible without making an incision in the throat. In such a situation, she was very uncomfortable and disappointed about the incision marks after the surgery. That's why the doctors of Barabanki Hospital referred him to PGI Robotic Thyroid Surgeon Prof. Sent to Gyan Chand.

After necessary tests, Prof. Gyan told that the patient's thyroid tumor is very large, if surgery is done by robotic method, then this tumor can also be removed efficiently without making an incision in the throat and this will be the first case in itself. . After the consent of the patient and his family, Dr. Gyan successfully removed the tumor of the thyroid gland from the neck of the girl in a four-hour operation last Friday without making an incision in the throat.

His team included Dr. Dileep, Dr. Sara Idrees and Dr. Prachi along with Prof. Gyan in the operation. Along with this, Prof. Sujit Gautam and his team from the Department of Anesthesia provided full cooperation.

 Prof. Gyan Chand told that the whole process of removing such a large thyroid gland by robotic thyroid surgery is very complicated, but it is going to give relief to the patient from future difficulties. Because usually the big scars on the neck after surgery lead the patient to depression, where girls are forced to wear closed neck clothes for life. When 71-year-old Umakant Tripathi, a resident of Kanpur, came to know that he was suffering from prostate cancer, his family members became very upset. The doctor of Kanpur sent him to Sanjay Gandhi PGI. It was told in Kanpur that prostate surgery would be done. He started getting worried in the name of surgery. Oncologist, Department of Radiotherapy, Prof. Neeraj came to Rastogi for advice, without surgery, targeted radiotherapy and hormone therapy removed his problem. A year ago, the prostate cancer marker PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) was more than 100. After treatment, it has come down to 1.7, which means the cancer is gone. Pro. Neeraj says that first we made a precise attack on the cancer cell, which killed the cancer cells. On increasing the cancer cell, started hormone therapy to reduce the gonadotropin hormone, which reduces the risk of cancer again. Just three injections were given, they will have to remain in continuous followup for two years. Total is to give nine injections of hormone therapy. Umakant Tripathi says that I did not even think that cancer would be cured without surgery.

 चला कि वह प्रोस्टेट कैंसर से चपेट में है तो वह इनके परिवार

 के लोग काफी परेशान हो गए। कानपुर के डाक्टर ने उन्हें

 संजय गांधी पीजीआई भेज दिया । कानपुर में बताया गया कि

  प्रोस्टेट की सर्जरी होगी।  सर्जरी के नाम से वह परेशान होने

 लगे । रेडियोथेरी विभाग के कैंसर विशेषज्ञ प्रो. नीरज रस्तोगी

 के पास  सलाह के लिए आए तो बिना सर्जरी के टारगेट

 रेडियोथेरेपी और हार्मोन थेरेपी से उनकी परेशानी दूर कर

 दिया। एक साल पहले प्रोस्टेट कैंसर मार्कर पीएसए( प्रोस्टेट

 स्पेसिफिक एंटीजन) सौ से अधिक था इलाज के घटकर 1.7

 रह गया है यानी कैंसर खत्म हो गया। प्रो. नीरज का कहना है

 कि पहले हमने कैंसर सेल पर सटीक वार किया जिससे कैंसर

 सेल खत्म हो गए। कैंसर सेल को बढ़ाने पर गोनाडोट्रोपिन

 हार्मोन को कम करने के लिए हार्मोन थेरेपी शुरू किया जिससे

 दोबारा कैंसर की आशंका कम जाती है। अभी तीन इंजेक्शन

 दिया गया इन्हे दो साल तक लगातार फालोअप में रहना होगा

 । कुल हार्मोन थेरेपी के नौ इंजेक्शन देने है। उमाकांत त्रिपाठी

 कहते है कि मैने सोचा भी नहीं था कि बिना सर्जरी कैंसर ठीक

 हो जाएगा ।

 

2014 में आंत में हुआ कैंसर दस साल भी फिट

 

शरीर का भार गिर गया। हीमोग्लोबिन कम हो गया कोलोनोस्कोपी जांच हुई तो पता चला कि आंत में कैंसर है। इलाज के लिए पीजीआई आए यहां पर गैस्ट्रो सर्जन प्रो वीके कपूर ने  सर्जरी कर कैंसर युक्त आंत को निकाल दिया। इसके बाद से प्रो. नीरज रस्तोगी ने देखरेख में गया। इनके इलाज के बाद से आज तक बिल्कुल फिट है। दिनेश सिंह का कहना है कि कैंसर है तो हौसला बनाए रखें। परेशानी आयी है तो जाएगी यह याद रखिए और खुश रहिए। दस साल पहले कैंसर का पता लगा तो परेशान हुआ क्योंकि कच्ची गृहस्थी लेकिन सब ठीक हो गया। सलाह दिया कि लगातार डॉक्टर के  संपर्क में रहिए। सलाह पर पूरी तरह अमल करिए।

 

यह परेशानी तो तुरंत ले सलाह

मूत्र,मल या योनि से रक्त आ रहा है। स्तन या शरीर के किसी भाग पर गांठ है। बलगम आ रहा है। सांस लेने में तकलीफ हो रही है। भूख कम हो गयी है। शरीर का भार लगातार गिरता जा रहा है। शरीर का कोई घाव नहीं भर रहा है। रक्त के हीमोग्लोबिन का स्तर लगातार गिरता जा रहा है तो इसे हल्के में लेकर अपना जीवन संकट में न डाले। यह लक्षण कैंसर के हो सकते हैं। इन लक्षणों के आधार पर कैंसर का पता शुरुआती दौर में लगा कर जीवन की डोर कई गुना लंबी बढ़ाई जा सकती है।

4 फरवरी को विश्व कैंसर दिवस है के मौके पर  "क्लोज द केयर गैप" विषय  कैंसर जागरूकता कार्यक्रम केंद्रित है। संजय गांधी पीजीआई का  रेडियोथेरेपी विभाग द्वारा पोस्टर प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया जा रहा है जिसमें केंद्रीय विद्यालय , नर्सिंग छात्रों और मेडिकल टेक्नोलॉजी कॉलेज के छात्रों जागरूकता बढ़ाना, रोकथाम करना और कैंसर का जल्द पता लगाने को बढ़ावा देना से  पोस्टर प्रदर्शित प्रदर्शित करेंगे।
