Aneurysm in carotid artery on both sides, without surgery intervention, problem was solved by installing flow diverter with radiology technique.

Neither incision nor stitch stopped the swelling of the vein that supplies blood to the brain.

Intervention radiological technique reached the vein and stopped blood flow.

Aneurysm formed in the carotid artery of the right and left side first.

Kausilya Devi, a resident of Ayodhya, was suffering from closed eyelids along with headache. The blinking was not stopping. When she went to many places for treatment, she was told that the treatment would be done through surgery. Kausilya Devi was over 65 due to which she was afraid of surgery. Meanwhile, on the advice of a doctor, he consulted Sanjay Gandhi PGI Intervention Radiologist Prof.  Vivek Singh. The tests revealed that a vein in the carotid artery, the main blood vessel that supplies blood to the brain, has become weak and swollen, which is called an aneurysm in medical language. Due to this, there is pressure on the nerve that controls the opening and closing of the eyelid. . Due to this the eyelid is not opening. This aneurysm is also the cause of headache. Pro. According to Vivek Singh, there is a thick vein on both sides of the neck which is called carotid artery. There was an aneurysm in the carotid artery on his right side due to which the eyelid on the same side was closed. It was fortunate that the swelling (balloon) that had occurred was not bleeding. We reached the balloon through the vein and placed a flow diverter below it, which stopped blood from flowing into the balloon. Blood flow to the brain became normal. The problem went away but after two years the same problem occurred in the carotid artery on the left side. This aneurysm was also treated with the same technique without any surgery. Kaushalya is completely fine.

Special treatment became possible only after assistance from Chief Minister's Fund.

Kaushalya, who came for follow up, told that the cost of treatment without surgery was very high. It was not possible for my family to bear the financial burden. I submitted an application for assistance from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, the money arrived within 15 days and my treatment became possible. Pro. Vivek Singh says that coil and flow diverter are very expensive in endovascular procedure. Many times ordinary people were unable to get treatment. Special treatment for poor patients also due to assistance from Ayushman and Chief Minister's Relief Fund.

You can take advice any day

Pro. Vivek Singh told that due to aneurysm, bundle of nerves in the brain, joining of nerves of the brain due to injury. Treatment of defects in the structure of the vena galen in children is possible without surgery through interventional radiological techniques. Consultation can be taken in any radiology department.
